I think it's because of the short development of it rather than the option itself.<BR/><BR/>Justification without action is a hook with no bait. I preferred the first example: the reader knows why the driver is becoming reckless, and the element of fear is heightened. The question seems to be, therefore, which is the most important emotion at that point in the story?
